Creative DIRECTOR

Rick is the Creative Director of Signature Services Group. With decades of marketing, communications and fundraising experience, both on the client and agency side, Rick adds considerable strength to the Signature Services Group team, directing the creative process from concept to completion.

Rick is especially skilled at translating marketing objectives into well-defined creative strategies.   He takes all of the discovery, research, planning and analysis that is conducted and distills it down to digestible, engaging messages about an organization and its impact.  He has developed and produced the full spectrum of marketing tools—television and radio ads, videos, print and digital ads, direct mail, signage, internal/external publications, websites, and related communication. He has extensive experience in developing brand strategies and re-positioning stagnant brands. Highly creative, he collaborates with design and production personnel to ensure that all materials align with the organization’s brand and its messaging vision.    

Rick is also a skilled media buyer, negotiating the best placements to reach the target audience, whether it be traditional, digital or sponsorship events.  He’s purchased tens of millions of dollars of media for large companies and clients throughout his career, using his strong direct relationships. But it doesn’t stop there. Through oversight and analytics, with an auditing process that accounts for every dollar spent, he ensures clients get what they paid for and more. By maintaining great relationships with media vendors, he looks for optimization and upgrade opportunities to be sure that your media buys are performing.

Prior to joining Signature Services Group, Rick served as Director of Communications for the Wisconsin Dental Association and Marketing Director for Wisconsin’s largest real estate company, Wauwatosa Realty. He established in-house agency services for each organization.   Rick has won numerous national awards for his creative campaigns and execution in both B2B and B2C arenas.
